This was home for our 3 days on the Amazon River. We had it all to ourselves, with a crew of four!
There is another boat in this picture but it seemed like, most of the time, we had the river to ourselves.
By searching for animals using a flashlight to see their eyes, our guide pulled this caiman out of the water with his bare hands!
Swimming with wild dolphins right in the river.
Fishing for piranha with a bamboo pole. The next day we had piranha soup with what we caught!
Every afternoon our guide made us caipirinha, a local drink with Brazilian rum and lime. The garnish is the fruit from a cashew tree.
One evening we had a barbeque in the Amazon forest by flashlight. Luckly, no snakes or spiders!
On our last day we went on a trek into the forest. That's our guide ahead of Debbie and his guide ahead of him!
Hang gliding from a mountain down to the beach. Very nice!!
We saw more monkeys in one afternoon in Rio then we saw in 3 days in the Amazon.
It was very crowded on the top of the mountain at the Christ the Redeemer statue but it was well worth the visit!
Sugar Loaf Mountain. You take two cable cars to get to the very top for nice views of the city.
The famous Copacabana Beach was not far from our hotel in Rio.
View from the Brazil side. Very impressive!
Another section of the falls. There were actually over 15 falls with names in the Iquasu National Park.
