Eastern Europe - The Balkans

We took an all-day tour to Kosovo. This is the small city of Prizren.

We climbed a number of 'mountains' to get to fortresses. This is a church in the fortress in the town of Berat.

Climbing down from another fortress, a church overlooking the town of Kotor. it was sort of a mini Dubrovnik.

And this is Dubrovnik. We had been here before so didn't do a lot of sightseeing.

Krka National Park had some nice waterfalls and even some swimming, which Debbie did.

Plitvice Lakes National Park was much larger than Krka. We explored for over five hours and were rewarded with some great views.

The best-preserved Roman amphitheatre outside of Italy in the town of Pula.

The old town in the capital, Ljubljana.
