There were a number of Antoni Gaudi buildings within an easy walk of our house swap. This is the Casa Mila which we had visited on a previous trip to Barcelona.
And further along was the Sagrada Familia that we went inside later in the month.
This is Casa Vicens, the first residence Gaudi designed.
One last Gaudi, Casa Batllo. It is just down the street from Casa Mila.
OK, another Gaudi. On the roof of Palau Guell, another of his early designs.
But enough about Gaudi, Pablo Picasso spent his formative years in Barcelona. We visited the Picasso Museum.
A busy local beach near the W Hotel.
Looking from the Placa de les Cascades to The Palau Nacional, a huge Italian-style building from 1929.
And looking from the Palau Nacional to the Placa de les Cascades and beyond. Very impressive!
And speaking of impressive, we finally got to the Sagrada Familia. It is supposed to be finished by 2026.
And the inside was pretty impressive too!
There was a festival going on in our neighbourhood the last week we were there. The actual streets were decorated with individual themes. This one is Harry Potter.
A veggie theme. Any other time of the year this pharmacy is probably open but not this week.
A quick stop on our way to Belfast. This is The Jeanie Johnston Tall Ship with The Samuel Beckett (Harp) Bridge behind. They were just a few steps from our hotel.
We visited a few pubs! This is The Crown Liquor Saloon dating from the 1880's.
The Titanic Museum. It claims to be the world's leading tourist attraction!
Debbie dwarfed by the fence that separated the Catholic and Protestant sides of Belfast during 'The Troubles'.
